LaQuon Treadwell

#01 LaQuan Treadwell

POSITION: Wide Receiver (WR)

SCHOOL: Ole Mississippi

HEIGHT:  6-2

WEIGHT:  221

40 Time:  4.65

  • He possesses a sturdy and somewhat athletic build to his frame…ideal durability wise for the next level
  • He is an efficient & compact route runner…who possesses the total route tree transitioning to the next level…as a refined route runner in short to intermediate routes…who’s naturally efficient at maximizing his movement
  • He is very instinctive at finding the open areas within opposing defenses from an intermediate and within area…making him an ideal NFL/WR#2
  • He displays the ability to keep his concentration on balls in traffic with defenders closing….with the innate ability to consistently catch balls away from his body with extended arms… then after contact from defenders displaying the toughness to hang on to difficult catches in traffic…or with tight coverage applied
  • After the catch he displays a quick first step transition upfield….allowing him instant short area separation versus defenders
  • Have to like his willingness to take on…and not shy away from oncoming contact from defenders… he is very physical after the catch… utilizing his size & physicality versus defenders to his advantage consistently gaining short area additional yards after contact from defenders…and setting a tone of physicality verses opponents
  • He also utilizes a very effective stiff arm….keeping defenders at a distance…allowing him to gain additional yardage
  • He shows an aggressive…eager willingness to block for his team in the running game…which can only add to his draft value

  • Lacks ideal speed to ever be considered a true #1/WR at the next level
  • Has difficulty making things happen in tight areas versus defenders (finding additional hidden yardage)…this very much drops his value projecting to the next level…and why he’s viewed as more of a WR/#2

1st Round (Top 15)

2nd Round (Mid)

  • There is no question Treadwell has a place of success at the next level…but NFL teams have to limit their expectations projecting him as a #1/WR at this level.
