Ronald Darby

#03 Ronald Darby

DRAFT CLASS:  JR/2015

POSITION:  Cornerback (CB)

SCHOOL:  Florida State

HEIGHT:  5-10

WEIGHT:  195

40 Time:  4.37

STRENGTHS

  • He was a highly touted high school and press clippings performer during his collegiate career with the Seminoles
  • Who possesses a sturdy & durable build to his structure projecting to the next level

WEAKNESSES

  • Doesn’t perform up to projected draft selection as a prospect
  • Lacks the overall skill level to be considered an elite cover corner at the next level
  • His impressive 40 time…passion…and aggressive nature for the game doesn’t show up tape
  • Could use more strength & aggression at POA vs opposing blockers…and through traffic on his way to making plays on ball
  • Where is the short & long area speed…instant explosion on lateral movement…and in & out of cuts needed for next level?
  • Too frequently seems to lose track of ball on field of play
  • Where is the consistent physical toughness looked for on tackles along the field?
  • Not the most effective openfield tackler with space between he and ball carriers

PROJECTED ROUND

MY VALUE BOARD

Off My Board

SUMMARY

  • He lacks the necessary skills dictated to have a sustained successful career at the next level
  • Most likely he will be drafted higher than his value…where I envision him as more of a #2 starting CB at the next level.
